We first stayed here in 2001 when it was just little bungalows with no electricity after 10pm, cold showers, no aircon. Just a basic and simple place to stay. It was awesome!!! We had the best 4 weeks ever, spending the days sitting in our hammocks, reading, drinking orange lemon shakes, chatting, eating banana pancakes in the morning, staring out to the ocean, swimming and lazing by the beach, chatting to the owners and their family and friends, who at others places I guess you would call the staff, but here they were just your friends. I know this will sound ridicilous but I became friends with a dog, who followed me everywhere I went and sat under my hammock while I was reading. We became inseperable and when we left, she ran after me for about 2km's, up the road until the little Haad Tian road joined the main road, at which point she stood there staring at me.
