No air conditioning, dirty bathrooms, can hear people in the next room VERY clearly and extremly basic all round. However the pool area/beach and restaurent look like they should be in a much more upmarket hotel - we were quite surprised. We decided when arriving to Koh Samui that we would stay out of the popular resorts on the east coast and look for something quieter, less croweded, less touristy but still young (in mid 20's). The Sandy as its called is located on Bophut Beach. The hotel has a nice lobby and pool but the rooms were very very small and the walls only go up to the ceiling. We were having conversations with the people in the rooms next to us. There is no air conditioning or TV. The beach was all right but... more
