Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The accommodation is in an amazing environment, surrounded by a jungle near the river. The rooms are well-kept and clean, and we often had a friendly gecko visitor. The staff is pleasant and helpful. I would gladly return on another occasion.

Only had an overnight at this resort, but the room was lovely - appreciated the extra care taken to insure that macaques couldn't get into the room! Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant - great food!

This was perfection, having a bungalow near the river and being able to enjoy nature in a way we have never done before. It is important to rent the bungalows near the river, as they will give you not only the relaxing sound of flowing water but also great views of the forest and the monkeys.

Best Value for money you can get! It is a real Thai experience! You live literally in the middle of the jungle in a small bungalow. It’s all basic but it’s all there. And clean. We didn’t have one insect or similar in our room - although it is easily possible for them to get in. Bathroom is kind of outside the house (surrounded by walls walls and roof above) but much better than we expected. Staff is friendly, service is good. They even picked us up in our old resort. If you don’t like the big resorts, this is perfect for you. We stayed with two very young child’s in one room (double bed and single bed) and it worked good! Breakfast not included. Be careful - they don’t refund if you check out early. If we could, we would have stayed much longer!!

Room Tip: Pool is Basic, so don’t go there because of that. Don’t be afraid of animals.

Right in the jungle and hotel fitted accordingly, khao sok is beautiful. Fully immersed in the jungle which is really cool, wildlife everywhere. Room clean enough but does have jungle feel, not luxury but nice. Head of house (maybe owner?), spoke perfect English and was very friendly and had a sense me humour, top man.

We did a stop in the Morning Mist Resort between Phuket and Koh Samui and really like it there. The bungalows are in the middle of a garden with many beautiful flowers and also you see there monkeys, frogs and butterflies. The bungalow itself is basic but has two comfortable and clean beds, a fridge and all you need. The only thing is that there is no Wifi in the bungalow itself but only at the cafe/reception area because its such a big area but thats fine anyway because if you are in the jungle then dont stick to your devices ;) The owner is a friendly woman who speaks great English and has a litte cute daughter who also speaks English pretty well. My little daughter loved to play with her! Her son helped all the guests with the luggages and also when we needed help in our room, they immediately did. So great service for only the two of them taking care of the resort! Also they have a little pool to refesh yourself. The best thing about the resort is that you get this jungle vibes with all the noises from the animals and I totally recommend to book a bungalow with RIVER VIEW! And yes, if you dont like moskitos, cockroaches, ants, geckos and all the other insects then just dont go the the national park & jungle at all because of course there you find them - also in your house ;)

We had an extremely enjoyable 4 night stay at this resort. Our room was lovely and spacious and very clean. Water was provided every day too and a new loo roll. The gardens were amazing and we saw huge butterflies, wonderful flowers, a massive lizard, which I later realised was pretty extra cool, and monkeys. We also heard the very loud cicadas which really is a treat.... The food was nice and reasonably priced and the seating area at the lady) which was a massive shame. I was a little disappointed as the Thai people have such a great reputation for being friendly!!!! But don't let that put you off. It's just how we felt.

We stayed here two nights and found it a very lovely experience. It’s set back from the street so at night all you hear are the natural sounds of the jungle. There’s loads of plants and trees which really adds to the scenery. Our cabin was very clean (with a mosquito net) and we often a couple of geckos in the bathroom! (Added fun, they ate mozzies!) If you visit check out the trees by river at the back of the sight- monkeys!!! We booked an overnight lake tour through Morning Mist - I don’t recommend that. M

We came here after Bangkok. Peaceful run away to little cosy houses in middle of jungles, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Some trips to lakes over night, would highly recommend it to everyone. Our guide name Fluke were more than friendly, playing guitar in middle of night, bringing us to different caves for pictures, providing with food and water. Fresh fish and Thai food was best what I had in all time spent here. Definitely great time, thank you for experience. Sincerely Lithuanian and Polish family.
