We wanted a week of rest and relaxation and the Dusit certainly delivered on every front. We arranged our own transfer from Bangkok airport which was seamless and arrivd at the hotel around 10am. We were welcomed warmly and whisked away to the the Club Lounge and offered drinks by the delightful Lynna who remained personable and charming throughout our... more

Really loved our stay at the Dusit. We found most of the staff were only too eager to assist wherever possible. The beach area is small but the pool makes up for it. It was my wife's birthday while we were there, so i organised before arriving (via the internet) if they could make a cake for her.To say i... more

Stay there with the family to visit around Hua Hin. The room are a bit old, and it shows in the bathroom. Swimming pool is nice, but a bit boring until we found one of those lizards swimming in the pool. According to the staffs, they could not catch it. During our stay, the Queen had dinner at the hotel,... more

I stay in the club room and enjoy the service of being in that floor, such as complimentary snacks and drinks. The hotel has a nice swimming pool, but the beach is not so special. The fitness center locates in a different building away from the beach, and I wish they would set it up facing the beach so that... more

8 nights in club room. Only disappointing aspect was that on some evenings children were running around and not controlled by their parents in the club lounge. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would suggest no children under 16 years of age in club lounge. Having read the negative comments before we went we were pleasantly surprised by how lovely... more

For a desperately needed stress-release vacation, we first choose Hua Hin for it's quietness and tranquility, and selected the Thai-style Dusit in Cha-am for it’s secluded beach location and sea facing rooms (another choice was Sofitel, right in the busy commercial Hua Hin town). The 5D package from Sunny Holidays, with 2 rounds of golf, private transfer to/from Bangkok airport,... more

Having visited Thailand many times and stayed in various hotels, we chose the Dusit for a two week Christmas/New Year break. The rooms were exceptionally clean, although a little tired in the bathrooms. The location was on a very quiet beach with only one small beach bar, which opened during the hours of daylight, the beach was rather dull and... more

My fourth visit to the Dusit Resort (formerly Dusit Polo Club, now Dusit Thani Resort) and nothing seems to change. My visits have always included New Years Eve and this is an extravaganza not to be missed with top notch singers and orchestra during the buffet dinner on the lawn and an excellent jazz band until the early hours, all... more

Let's start with the good bits. Fantastic pool and reception area giving a wonderful feeling of opulence and tranquility when you arrive. Unfortunately we were asked to sign up for the compulsory New Year's Eve dinner before we'd even checked in, and from that point on the costs kept rising. 400 baht to hire a DVD player, 100 baht to... more

Like the hotel, lovely grounds , lovely pools, not many english speaking children for my son to play with which wasnt a problem, bit of a way out though, money starts to mount up when your having to go in to hua hin every day and night to eat. eating at the hotel was not cheap, for breakfast for 2... more
