I loved this hotel and its staff. My family and I stayed there for 9 days and we had a great time. Met nice people and visited many temples. more

We travelled by car to this hotel. While unloading the baggage, the bell-boys did not bother to help until we had to literally call them loud. The check-in was quick. The rooms were spacious & seem to be recently renovated. The staff is rude and seems to only prefer catering to scandinavian tourists. Their restaurants & bars are over-priced and... more

My wife, her sister, two eight year old children and I stayed in two adjoining family rooms for eleven days at the beginning of May. There are things to like about this hotel but also things that we disliked. The rooms are big and the beds comfortable, the bathroom is ok but small and the breakfast is quite good. On... more

Unusual design, good restaurants, attractive pool. inf act very good, staff attentive. Not for you if you want shopping malls and night life. Can be busy and noisy at weekends when locals descend on the area. Still would recommend this hotel although we have no intention of returning to Cha-Am more

My friend and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights from 19-21 Apr. What I can comment is: - Location - Facing the beach. Very convenient. Staffs - Very nice, friendly and helpful, especially from poolside and housekeeping. Room - Nice bed, big and clean toilet. Breakfast - Wide choices and tasted good. Swimming Pool - well-designed and nice.... more

Arriving at Methavalai we were first shown a delux room with sea view on the 4th floor. The room was ordinary but smelled a bit mouldy. We had read the former reviews on the renovated rooms especially the ones by the pool, so we asked if there was any vacant. We were in luck! These rooms are perfect! Big and... more

This hotel is very nice for the price. You have to request the newer rooms. The bathrooms were very western style and the furnishings contemporary. I think in the non-renovated rooms there is ugly pink carpet (and carpet and Thai humidity do not get along). more

The Hotel offers just about every thing, massage rooms Gym several pools fountains Bars Japanese Restaurant - reading areas many lounges and places to relax, wonderful eating areas. Internet room and stylishly attractive staff... more

We stayed a week at the Methavalai with our 2 year old and 3 month old. The location is superb, with a part-shaded beach directly outside the hotel. cha-am is reputedly "quiet" - to put this in context , it is not wall-to-wall sex clubs or thumping discos like certain other Thai resorts, but there is a mile -long strip... more

We stayed at this hotel for three nights, 3 adults and two small children. We booked through a travel agent on a last minute decision to go to the beach from Bangkok where we were already. We arranged for a minibus, quite comfortable with a video cd player for the kids (essential for any travel over 25 min.!), with a... more
