a beautiful location right on the river, 20 minutes out of town, 10 minutes from airport taxi 200THB. From checkin to checkout nothing was wanting. Gracious staff and great room overlooking the pool. If you want to pamper yourself in Chiang Rai, stay at the Meridien. The grounds are beautiful and integrated with the natural surroundings, right on the river. The breakfast buffet is decadent and the staff are amazing. Check out the Parvait spa if you really want to spoil yourself more

We stayed at the Meridien for three days in November after reading all the outstanding comments on Tripadvisor but left disappointed. We had the pleasure of staying at the Le Meridien in Chiang Rai and really enjoyed this beautiful facility and true Thai hospitality. The pool was spectacular but the real highlight of our visit was a personalized cooking class with the Sous Chef from the resort. Great hotel, excellent location, lovely staff who cannot do enough for you, however due to the lack of people staying when we were there we found the service slightly intrusive. Room large and spotlessly clean. Music in hotel, breakfast room etc of slightly questionable taste and often too loud...maybe if there had been more guests we would not have noticed... more

This hotel is very easy to rate, everything is just fine. The pool is great and fits nice into the landscape. Rooms are nice and modern. Both the Thai and the Italian restaursnt are great. So just go there! more

This is a hard review for me to write because in a word the hotel itself is just gorgeous. However..we found the service to be a bit disappointing from some key people.
