Spent 6 wonderful nights at the Anantara. Every member of staff did everything possible to make our stay special from the lady who cleaned the room showing us how to fold towels into elephants and swans to informal Thai lessons in the bar. We were thoroughly enchanted with the Anantara! So much so that we opted out of our scheduled tour (not through the hotel) so that we could spend our time at the Anantara and didn't regret it for an instant! Definitely one of the world’s finest hotels with an exceptional staff makes this a must stay. Coupled with the fact that the hotel runs a home for elephants and their mahout families who are more than willing to teach you how to be an elephant mahout.
