Unusual room in that the entire place was over the river on stilts. Hotel staff very friendly. Cold shower but did not know how to work the device to heat the water. Very clean. Location great - near restaurants and bars.

If you have a room on the rive, you will enjoy a great view on the mountains in the distance and peacefulness - depending on your neighbour guests of course. These have air con and hot water. We stayed here for two nights, the owners are very helpful and the setting is great. Very quiet and right on the river. Good value and we would stay here again if we return to Thailand, we hope to do so very soon.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The owner was really warm and couldn't do enough for you. Rooms are clean and tidy, pretty much what you would expect from a decent budget guest house in thailand but the view of the river and friendly reception puts this place high up the list.

The very cheap rooms over the road (and inland) from the Raft House look grotty but the rooms with a verandah overlooking the River Kwae are very different. When we arrived we had to wait a short while for the receptionist to arrive. The room was small and very hot. Although the room was clean it was very dated and definately needs a refurb. The man who owns the guest house was lovely and genuine, but we really cant lie about this review.
