Recently opened in December 2008, this resort is a true hidden gem. The pics gallery in their website is pretty accurate and tells all. The hotel is located on the edge of the lake, about 100kms from Kanchanaburi town and 18kms past the well known Srinakarin dam, which also is a must visit site. You will definitely need a car to get to the hotel, and the last 3kms of road leading to the hotel is not even paved yet. We stayed for 2 nights, 1 night in the Island and for our second night we moved to the River View room. The Island is a great experience as the rooms are located in the lake and you open the balcony straight in to the water. However the rooms are a bit small and not well decorated (floating in the water, it's very difficult to make it fancy due to weight, etc).
