KKO is run by an Irish guy, Derek, and his team of ever-smiling staff. This relatively new place is about 15-20 minutes walk away from the main city centre. For shopping addicts, the hotel is about 5 minutes walking distance away from the new mega shopping mall, Central something, opening in Khonkaen at the end of the year. Laundry services... more

This is a nice, new hotel,but with no amenities at all,except wifi..and is situated on a 3 way intersection on a 'shortcut access road''..sitting in the lobby you absolutely cannot converse...unbearable, and up in your room you just have to keep the door to the balcony closed,and a/c on..just to get some quiet time.. i went then to La Mai..slightly... more

Having travelled most of Thailand. Khon Kaen Orchid must be the best value around. At only 500 Baht per night. The rooms where spotless,The beds where excellent. The staff speak good english, and very friendly. Only a short walk to the city,and free transport from airport. www.khonkaenorchid.com I highly recommend this hotel. more

This place is real value for money in Khon Kaen and I would highly recommend it to any visitors to the city. It is walking distance to all the major shopping centres as well as being conveniently located between two of the best hospitals in the North East of Thailand. The staff couldn't have been more helpful during my stay... more
