We stayed at Boa Baan Resort Hotel, it was a great location, right across the street from Patang Beach.It was clean and very appealing with a swimming pool flanked with elephant statues with water flowing from the trunks. They claim to be 3 meters from the beach. It is at least 8, the beach road and 2 sidewalks. But to reach the serviced beach area with longchairs and catering, you have to go 300 meters sideways along the beach. This is because the hotel is at the very south, quiet, end of Patong.
