It is peak season here on Patong Beach and for the price, this place is just fine. GREAT location and the reservationist for our day trips is awesome. She is willing to give great advice. The rooms were newly remodeled and comfortable. The breakfast food is the same as every hotel I have stayed at from Bangkok to Pattaya. Talking... more

Stayed for 3 nights in early Dec 2009. Would not stay here again despite the good location near the beach, unless your favourite in-room pastime is to hit bugs and small cockroaches (size varying from 2mm to 1 cm) with a slipper. As I'm terribly scared of bugs and such, it was a very stressful experience staying in the room... more

The website was deceiving. The hotel isn't clean and well-mantained, at all. There are lots of mosquitoes, even in the room. The only good thing is the swimming pool and the service crew. They are nice, courteous and will really take care of you. The rate is low but the hotel should charge lower compared to what they offer. more

The rooms were generally big & very comfortable. the only grouse was there was no lifts so the elderly would have a problem with the hotel. the staff were generally polite albet check out staff who insisted that we took things from the fridge when we obviosuly did not. Staff eventually raised voice while speaking to us & another male... more

Stayed at Royal Palm the first night only in Patong Beach. Room quite good, very noisy air-conditioner. Toilet overflowed and was not nice to have to call reception to come to clear as bathroom was flooding but to their credit they did send someone immediately. Shower often cold but still OK. We paid around $49 AUD for double room with... more

When i arrived at the hotel there was no electricity and a guy from eletric company was working on the pole outside the hotel. They asked me that room would be available when the power is back. I insisted that my kids just wanted to go to the room just to change clothes but they never let us in. Later,... more

First, there is no lift, so everyone has to climb the stairs. Even with baggage. Second, they wanted to charge 500tbt for a visitor to the room, saying I had booked a single room. Just to visit the room, not to stay. They just made it up. There was no "rule". The room was recommended, booked and paid for (1,400tbt)... more

They told us there was free water in the room, but it was not free if you do not leave the empty bottle in the room. I presume they refill them and reseal them. If you look at what is in the minibar the bottles there have the hotels seal on them. We were charged 25B for the water as... more

We booked into the hotel over the Christmas period. December 28th to be exact (2008). We paid 3,500 baht for it, which although owing to the peak season, was still quite a sum. To be honest, the beach-front facade of the Royal Palm masks the budget-like interior of the hotel rather well. Firstly, we were made to walk up four... more

We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our 3 week journey through Thailand. The resortel is centrally located on the main street of Patong and is within walking distance to the popular Bangla Road which is full of pubs. The buffet breakfast was really good with a selection of asian and western style breakfast food. The spa... more
