The poppa palace advertizes being a "small but luxurious hotel", but in a nutshell, the reality is more like "standard and overpriced". My stay at Poppa Palace with my family is a pleasant one. Had a nice impression on the hotel when browsing through its website when deciding on the hotel for our phuket trip. A lovely place to stay - we enjoyed it - our favourite place so far into a 3 month backpacking tour (only 2 weeks in so far though !) We paid 1200 baht per night (we negotiated this from 1600 list price) The rooms are clean, well furnished and spacious. The Hotel staff are friendly and efficient and always helpful... more

Good place to stay, especially if travelling on a budget. The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the beach and a 5-10 minutes walk to main Bangla road, where you can find all the action after sunset. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. However, the only bad point aboout the hotel is the entrance.... more
