Bedrooms very roomy and have all the lavish furnishings of a top hotel. But i agree with other poster, at the end of the day it is apub with beautiful tasteful rooms. Breakfast good, rooms have efficent safe. A litle pricey when compared to nearby rooms a third of the price , but a good place to impress a Thai... more

Having checked out of our planned Udon Hotel for poor service and dreadful catering facilities we were very pleasantly surprised by the excellent standards of the Irish Clock. We had already driven round and taken a look at the other ‘top recommendations’ in central Udon, however once we were shown the room in the Irish Clock we were immediately convinced... more

Stayed here in May 2009 and actually booked out of a four star? hotel in Udon to do so!! You get just the same type of accommodation in my book (albeit as outlined by another review you have stairs to contend with) Steve (the owner) was very welcoming and helpful and got my truck parked a breeze right next to... more

Stayed here for 7 nights - rooms were large, well equipped & had everything a traveler requires. Hated the 3 flights of stairs though but good exercise I guess:) We had a room at the front as the back rooms were already booked & had no problem with noise or sleeping. At 850Baht/night which includes one breakfast to the value... more

You'll actually be amazed by these rooms, for what is really just a converted shop house, with a bar down stairs, the rooms are filled with top quality furnishings, however t 850 a night you must expect something a little beter than the rest. I actually chose this on arrival in Udon for its proximity, big mistake, the noise level... more

Thanks Gazza for the review. We are sorry that you found the noise level high but unfortunately I do not know what to do regarding this. The only thing that I can suggest that if you do happen to stay again then request a back room which are a lot quiter than the front rooms. As for the meal I...

Hi every one. I did not stay but made three visits to the Hotel for meals. The food was good but I was dissapointed with the lack of smiles and friendliness by the senior staff. The young waitress was very pleasant. Having read so many good reviews about the place I went back again, but was treated the same, the... more

Arrived in Udon Thani from Bangkok having previously booked over the internet. Found the Soi (Road) and parked up the hire car right outside. Was greatly warmly by the owner and his wife Steve and Mali. Had originally booked for two weeks but was so impressed extended stay for another two weeks. Room was large, well furnished with big bed,... more

I recently stayed at the Irish Clock Guesthouse in Udon Thani. Booking a room was easily done via an email to the Guesthouse . The guesthouse has 7 rooms (all with balconies) which are located above a great irish pub with good wholesome food and Guiness on tap. The room rate included a full English breakfast which was huge. It... more
