We have recently spent a weekend in Alexandria Bay at the Alex Bay Lodge and we found that it was a major disappointment. We paid $100/night for a room with one double/queen bed. The mattress was great, it appeared new just as they claimed, and the carpet was new, too. Well worth the money... New rooms walking distance to downtown. Beautiful grounds and quite. Checking in was fast and the staff was great. Rooms were brand new and clean. The pool looked beauitful but was to cold to go in. The docks were a great place for a morning walk. Can't wait to go back in August. more

Under new mangement and improving the rooms- unfortunately our room was not one of the new ones. Dark,small,bathroom needs PLENTY of work. Needed to ask for a light bulbs! Walking distance to town. more
