What can i say..... I read the previous reviews, but decided however that the Dar Khayem still deserved a visit. I read the information given about the building works, these did not affect my holiday at all, If you hear the banging.....and 7.30 am is a major exxageration, move your sun bed closer to the animation box, where the music... more

We arrived at the Dar Khayam at around 12:30pm, and were told our room wasn't ready, but to help ourselves to food and drink from the pool bar, and to return to reception in one hour. We happily made our way outside, the weather was glorious and everyone outside seemed happy enough. We had a snack, turkey baguettes and chips... more

On arrival the hotel, after a two hour bus journey, we were greeted by a porter begging money and a room that was not ready for us. On day two we were awoken at 7.30 a.m. by the sounds of a jack hammer and splintering wood. This was a continuous feature throughout the week. The pool area was cordoned off... more

We must make one thing clear before we start, this is a very cheap holiday and you cannot expect five star service, rooms, food and drink for less than two star money. There were some bad points, such as the 2 1/2 hour journey from the airport, being the last of 6 stops. The fact that the rooms were not... more

We booked two weeks at the Hotel Dar Khayam because it was the lowest price for the time of year and because of this where not expecting a five star holiday with all the trimmings, we got what we wanted somewhere to relax and chill out and the standard was as good as we expected, the rooms and hotel areas... more

We have just returned from a week's stay at this hotel. If we had never been to Tunisia this experience would have put us off going back.(Stayed in the Phenicia in July, one of the best Hotels we have stayed in). The food is horrible, we ate out a few times and the drinks were watered down, if you are... more
