We had a great holiday based at the Phenix. The hotel was clearly heavily invested in about 5 years ago, and it seems that not a great deal of maintainance has happened since, however the hotel is comfortable and clean, and the staff friendly. The rooftop pool was not clean so we didn't use it though the views up there... more

The Phenix has upscale spotless rooms and bathrooms, a decent restaurant (with sometimes confused service) and is something of an oasis in Mahdia. It's at the end of busy dusty Avenue Bourguiba, not far from the beach. We spent more time in the hotel, however, as we found it more enchanting than the city. more
