Here is an important piece of advice: Do NOT stay in Nefta overnight!!! My boyfriend and I traveled by bus from Kairouan to Nefta, bypassing Tozeur, because we thought Nefta would be quieter, quainter, and more idyllic -- and less overrun with tourists.
