We were due to arrive at this hotel and that evening I read the negative reviews on TripAdvisor, to say that we were worried would be an oversimplification! How wrong we were! My husband and I were driving around Turkey and he needed a break from the roads, this was just perfect, From the minute we arrived at the security... more

We recently visited Turkey (Istanbul/Cappadocia/Ephesus). Upon my researching of hotels in each region, I seem to struggle the most finding my hotel in the Ephesus region that was desirable. I was either finding large “Spring Break” type hotels or hotels that looked to be a bit on the “Run-down” side. What I was actually looking for was more of a... more

We, and two other couples, stayed for two nights at this hotel, toward the end of our 11-day private guided tour of Turkey. Some in our group really enjoyed the experience because the hotel does have character, but others were less satisfied with the service and amenities. The location is great, with a fabulous view of the sea and the... more

We stayed at the Kismet for two nights as part of our group tour. The views over the harbor are very nice and the breakfast and dinner buffets were good. However, we had used toiletries in our bathroom which were never replaced and no cleaning or room makeover service on our second day. The garden level balcony was dirty and... more

I agree that this hotel is living on its past reputation. The situation and views are superb but is not suitable for anyone with a slight disability as the entrance is up a very steep slope and taxis etc wre not allowed access. I managed a lift on the luggage trolley but genereally there was no one around to advise.... more

We had the unfortunate experience of having to stay at this hotel for two nights at the end of a wonderful Turkish holiday. While the grounds are lovely and views spectacular, they could not make up for the lackluster rooms that resembled a bad version of old Hollywood. The bathrooms were somewhat updated, but the gold and white wallpaper and... more

Just returned from 2 weeks Grand Tour of turkey with V.J.V with stays in several hotels. This was the worst from a point of attitude of staff. Only there 1 night but the room was small, the bathroom dated & the "foot bath/shower" really quite dangerous with nowhere to move. The glasses were dirty -i took them downstairs and explained... more

My husband and I were tired out after 2 weeks of whrilwind travel in Turkey. We arrived late at Kismet, but immediately perked up as we entered the beautiful hotel lobby. Our room was even better, the biggest 1 among all the hotels we've stayed in in Turkey, with the most spacious and well-equipped bathroom in the whole of Turkey!!... more

Beautiful location. Hotel staff was friendly and they have wireless internet in the lobby. The first room which was given to us was horrible. It was a basic room, however there were nicer bathrooms in other rooms at the same level. The bathroom was disgusting and after a problem they moved us to a much nicer room. After that all... more

Recently, my son and I traveled through Turkey and had a wonderful experience at the Kismet Hotel. The mantra of real estate is location, location, location, and certainly the Kismet features one of the best venues ever with a peninsula overlook of the Aegean Sea that bespeaks of postcard beauty. Yet more than the exquisite view, the hotel's warmth is... more
