The rooms and bathrooms might not be top quality but the location is formidable. The beautifully renovated century old building right on the Ayvalik water front has a jetty in the sea where you can have your meals and is worth the stay in itself. Staff is very friendly and the food is good. And it all comes at a... More

Stayed here for 1 night on our journey to Gallipoli. An excellent hotel with friendly staff, lovely furnishings in a beautifull location. Evening meal of local fish was worth staying in for. The hotel a converted olive oil factory building is situated right on the waters edge. The owner Mustafa will proudly show you what the derelict building looked like... More

Rooms are clean with plush towels and the bed was comfortable but the reason to stay here is the repurposed antique building itself (a former olive press) and the location that is right on the water. Meals are served on a deck that also could be described as a pier. Beautiful view of the water. It can be hard to... More

This is a lovely hotel situated by the sea with wonderful views of Cunda, you can sit at a table on the jetty (an extension of the restaurant) and enjoy your breakfast, the cheese and olives in this region of Turkey are delicious. The staff are very accommodating . The hotel is in a good location away from main road,... More

Charming and unusual, creatively converted olive oil factory. Old stone, wood, open spaces downstairs with lovely conservatory sitting/dining area at the back - amazing views over the water to Cundy Island opposite and to the link bridge to the right. Room excellent with large ensuite (I have seen comments that the windows are small and that is true and probably... More

I have to say that Sizma Han was one of the highlights of our trip. It's a beautiful little hotel on the water's edge with a deck spanning out over the water. It's a 5 min walk to the market and a 5 min walk in the opposite direction to the ferry port and bus terminal. We arrived in Ayvalik... More

Still in the hotel. The building was an ex olive oil factory. You can feel the olive oil in the food. Food is great. Room is decent. Fish was cooked right as it shoul be. I will come back. If you are a solo traveler this is place fo you.

Excellent sea view from garden. Nice atmosphere. The rooms are sooo small that it's almost impossible for two people to breath. Highly overpriced. They even charged the scrambled egg in the breakfast although we payed b&b.

Stayed at this hotel in July for a week, with our 5 y'old child. I am sure that this is the first vacation that I am relaxed, calmed; as no where and nothing to rush in comparison to all-inclusive 5 star hotels in Turkey. The hotel is located just next to sea, gives you opportunity to have your dinner just... More

I should start with a little disclaimer: I have never stayed in Sizma Han. Nevertheless, it is one of my favourite places in Ayvalik. My wife and I love to go there for dinner or breakfast. Sizma Han is a renovated old country stone house. The building is beautiful. It is right at the sea and if you book before... More
