I used turkeytravelplanner and this site to pick this hotel. I can't imagine a hotel better than this in this area. The rooms are beautifully simple. Ours was partly carved into rock and partly made of stone blocks. There are great views of the area since it's above the town and away from the center a bit, but not too... more

We stayed in the suite and were awestruck when we were first toured through it. It is huge! This is a very unique place. The cave walls always kept the place at a comfortable temperature. The bathroom is massive and has built-in speakers with satellite radio. It has a second bed recessed back in a smaller cave which would be... more

This is a great hotel. Looks unimpressive from the outside but inside is so charming...it's like staying with a family in Cappadocia. Easy to meet other travelers in their living room and morning breakfast. Very nice and unique experience overall. Staff is very friendly and more than willing to help without the expectation of a tip with every service provided.... more

I stayed at this hotel as part of a large family group with a mix of adults, teenagers, and younger children. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the inn's unique character and homey atmosphere. The kids loved exploring the hotel, with its various levels and caves, while the adults enjoyed the serene ambiance (with excellent views of the area). The ongoing joke was... more

Keeping in mind the accommodation and staff at almost every other place in Turkey is ordinary or appalling, it really makes Esbelli Evi stand out as quite extraordinary. Mind you, I think Esbelli would be extraordinary in any country you plonked it in. GOOD STUFF * to our delight we were upgraded to a suite which was spacious, spotlessly clean,... more

We loved our stay at Esbelli, it was an incredible experience. Urgup as a base-town was an excellent choice....and we could not have chosen a better hotel. Suha and Ramazan were exteremly helpful, helped with car rental and balloon ride reservations and it is a very nice property. The hospitality was fabulous as was the feel of the place. Very... more

My fiance and I stayed at the Esbelli Evi a few weeks ago, and it is amazing! Somehow we lucked into a suite (I will request one for future stays), which had antique kilims, a fully stocked fridge, two giant rooms, a waterfall shower, and a little deck table in our own garden. Free breakfast is out on the terrace... more

The Esbelli Evi is a "cave" hotel in the Cappadocia region in Turkey. While the rock formations of Cappadocia are beautiful, if you've explored the Southwest in the US, it probably won't completely blow you away beyond the historical significance and the Mesa Verde like cliff houses everywhere. However, there is this wonder hotel called the Esbelli Evi that has... more

Difficult to add more than the previous reviews that all seem to agree, but it is really true: Esbelli Evi is exceptional. Its owner anticipates every one of your needs and answers to them in a superb way. The hotel itself is a magnificent Greek house, the suites are lovely and make you really feel at home: Wifi access, flat... more

I am struggling to find enough superlatives to decribe our incredible experience at the Esbelli Evi. I don't really know where to start. The thoughtfulness of the staff, the panoramic views from the various balconies, the cavernously large and tastefully decorated rooms, the sumptuous breakfasts ... I could go on and on and on. it was the myrriad little touches... more
