The Gamirasu Cave Hotel in Kapdokya, Turkey is as unique as the area in which is located. The individually decorated rooms, (built inside the cave's walls) are incredibly comfortable and attractive. The attention to detail in providing decor that reflects the history, culture and ambiance of its surroundings truly enhances the experience of one's stay. The Public areas and dining... more

This was our first visit to Cappadocia, at the end of a two week independent driving tour of Turkey. There are three good reasons to visit the area: the stunning scenery, the early morning balloon flights and the cave hotels. Of the three, without any doubt, the highlight is the balloon flight. If you are on a limited budget cut... more

We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel for 4 nights. The breakfast buffet is generous, varied and fresh. Our large room was beautifully decorated, combining the "cave-ambiance" with modern amenities. The spotless marble bathroom was large with both a jacuzzi and shower. The friendly, English-speaking staff attended to each detail and went out of their way to make... more

This hotel was novel, friendly and quirky all of which made it a really good stay. It wasn't mabled excellence or polished splendour but it was friendly, we were one of the family and the staff made us very welcome. The Cappadocian region is definitely worth a visit and a balloon trip a must! more

Gamirasu is 7 kilometers outside Urgup but is worth the drive. The huge rooms dug into the caves on multiple levels are super special, beautifully fitted, Anatolian rugs, comfortable, with all amenities including a large sitting area. The bathroom was ultra modern with a large glass-enclosed shower. The only weird thing was the rectangular toilet, not particularly comfortable. We had... more

We spent three nights in this hotel on our trip to Turkey. It is like no other place we have ever stayed. It is in a former cave monastery and the rooms are lavishly appointed. The food is excellent. The only drawback is that it is in a remote village near Urgup. If you make reservations in advance, they can... more

Although a little hard to find, Turkish maps being as they are, but after asking several people in Ürgüp we found our way. We were met at the hotel by a very hospitable receptionist and after a welcoming drink was shown our room, sorry, cave. it consisted of a bedroom, lounge, and bathroom. The bed was huge, comfortable and so... more

After having read the very positive reviews in the Internet, we decided to stay at this hotel during our visit to Capadoccia... It was a nightmare... First all of, it's location is so remote from the rest of the area. The area is not very big indeed however, you have drive in the middle of fields, where at night time... more

We stayed for 4 nights in this lovely hotel in a secluded valley in the village of Ayvali. The food was excellent with an extensive breakfast buffet and a set 4 course meal in the evening for €18 per head - though if you didn't fancy this the chef is happy to cook something different on request - just ask... more
