The rooms surround a lovely courtyard, and are arranged on three levels. this is a recovered stone building, next to a Han that has been in the family for 6 generations. The breakfast buffet is traditional, authentic and more than abundant. We didn't do the dinner buffet, but it looked great. Our room was clean, and furnished with local textiles,... more

I great tip is to book hotel through it's web site since the owner will arrange to pick you up at the hotel for free. Upon arrival, we met with the owner Halil who helped us plan all of our day trips. The hot air ballon ride is a must. There was not much to do out side of the... more

I went to this hotel. It was just perfect. It is situated near the village. All the room are different. The staff is very friendly. The food is delicious. The rooms are well decorated and spick and span. Here, i lived an unik experience. That's the turkish way of life. Tours and activities can be arranged. So i didn't have... more

This property is well put together. The rooms resemble the famous Cappadocia caves and were built, like the hotel, around them. The rooms are a bit quaint but that's what you are there for. Location is good, right in the middle of Urgup, with nice views of the hills and the bizarre formations which make Cappadocia a unique place to... more

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in June 08 while I was spending 6 days horse riding in Cappadokia (highly recommended, the best way to see this weird and wonderful place.) This is a lovely hotel, the rooms are well appointed, the central courtyard and the rooftop tables provide great public spaces. The breakfasts and dinners were really... more

A beautifully renovated hotel, with an excellent (if a little zealous) tour company attached. Cappadocia is not a single place but a collection of small villages and towns spread through the many valleys - Selcuklu Evi is just outside Ürgüp, which, though not as picturesque as Göreme or Orthinshar, is a good base from which to explore. The hotel is... more

First, I have to say that the pictures on the website don't do the Selcuklu Evi (pronounced Sell-Chuk-Loo) justice. It's five Selcuk houses that have been completely refurbished and connected via stone stair cases round a secluded central courtyard. It's near the top of the hill in the town of Urgup, which is a great centre from which to explore... more

Stayed here alone (literally - I was the only guest) for one night in early December. They were offering a good rate, and were very quick to reply to my emails. Even though I was the only guest, there was no lack of staff: 3 gents picked me up from the bus station (included in price), and another 2 checked... more
