An eccentric hotel in a small country town below the calcified rocks at Pamukkale. Downstairs was a warm cosy restaurant. The food was quite good but the chef was a bit erratic and what ended up on the table in front of you was rarely what was ordered. The staff seemed to suffer from mood swings being cheerfully helpful one minute and morose and disappointed the next. There was no lift and staff were disinclined to carry bags. Some attempt has been made to jazz up the rooms but the results are a bit odd. Our room had an enormous pillar in the middle of it and the light switch was located so that it turned off and on as you rolled over in bed. There was no TV, an air conditioner withour a remote and an archaic bathroom. There was a double bed, a single bed and a two seater couch jammed into this tiny room.
