The Maro is fairly typical of a two-star hotel in terms of its facilities, ie 20-ish rooms with on-suite bathrooms, hot water, "split" air-conditioner, TV etc. The facilities were well-maintained and the rooms were clean. The colour scheme of the hotel is predominantly pink.
Breakfast is typically Turkish, ie eggs, olives, cheese, bread, salad, tea and instant coffee if you really want it. If you are early enough you can eat breakfast in the front garden of the hotel, but there isn't enough space for everyone if the hotel is full.
The worst thing about the Maro is that it doesn't have a lift (elevator) but the staff were helpful and were willing to carry cases up to rooms.
The best things were the views from the shaded top-floor terrace, proximity to the beach, and the location at the very pleasant northern end of the quayside.
