Safranbolu has many restored Ottoman dwellings. This konak (mansion) is certainly one of the most attractive.

My bedroom was large and beautifully decorated in a traditional style, with carpets on the wooden floor and crocheted curtains. It had a brass bed and comfortable seating all around the periphery of the room.

The lounge/dining room is unique, with the tables and chairs surrounding a spacious pool, whose water is replenished from an elegant brass fountainhead.
