I'll third the comment about the owner being a turnoff. We also decided not to hold our wedding reception here because of her. We had a couple of ideas about how we wanted to do things, and she immediately started to change them without compromise. It's not the bride's day, it's her day. The Appel Inn gave us our dream wedding!! At first glance the site may seem a little disheveled depending on the time of year you go to look. When we considered this place, it looked nice from the road. But the view of the mess in the study of the house was the first indicator.
