We stumbled upon Golden Key Bordubet while trying to find a place to get out of our B&B (which we could survive for one night only) in nearby Selimiye. And what a great find it turned out to be, we stayed at Golden Key for three nights in August 2009 and absolutely loved it. Location: Away from the crowds in... more

We did not actually stay at this but drove to it from Selimiye as we had often seen pictures and were curious. Notice at the entrance was most unwelcoming. We 'reported' at Reception as directed and asked if we could have a drink. We were sent to the Bar which overlooked the river in a lovely location. We waited and... more

On arrival the hotel clearly was not expecting us and there was no satisfactory room for us. We were shown to a one bedroom apartment for four of us and I spent the first night on the Sofa. This was not unique to our family- others also had no rooms and had to swap rooms during holiday. The cost of... more

My partner and I initially set out to stay in another hotel in Faralya, which we have written about too. Luckily it had turned out to be a disaster. I say luckily because if it wasn't for the aweful management and experience at the hotel we would have never set off to find this absolute heaven called The Golden Key.... more

The hotel feels rather like an upmarket turkish Butlins but certainly has charm. Our children thought it was heaven with the turtles, eels, fish, turkeys, swans and ducks. The hotel has a river that divides the grounds in two and you can take a boat from the jetty to the beach club which is v pretty. The beach club has... more

As a well traveled American I have rather discerning taste, and I must say Golden Key in Bourdubet far surpassed any expectations I had. It has to be the most lovely, charming, and tranquil boutique hotel that I have come across in my travels. From the Japanese inspired gardens to the gorgeous peacocks that greeted me each morning while I... more

We went to Bordubet looking for serious relaxation -and we found it. My 6 year grand-daughter loved the golden carp and little turtles swimming in the river. After breakfast/supper the kindly waiters gave her stacks of left over bread so she was busy for as long as we needed her to be whilst we enjoyed a second or third coffee/wine.... more

Rustic charm but lack of attention to detail, makes it not worthy of a ‘boutique hotel’ that its marketed as – whatever that means. Let down by shoddy service, gave the impression of winding down for the low season. No manager to be seen. The owner was apparently in China getting cheap furniture for another hotel. Golden Key now has... more

I stayed at Bordubet Golden Keys for week in 2005 with my teenage son. It was very good indeed. It is a fascinating place, very beautiful. Its set inland slightly, in a forested location, with waterways, flowers, nature all around. You take a very nice motorised boat ride down one of the waterways to the beach club, which is 15... more

I stayed in Golden Key Bordubet for a weekend on the first week of August with my husband and loved every minute of it. The hotel has 22 rooms in lovely gardens where white doves, rabbits, ducks and peacoks roam freely. A small river that is teeming with fish and turtles runs through the gardens. The gardens are amazing and... more
