Cant really comment on te hotel as a place to stay, as I have only looked around , and eaten there.
However, I was staying in the Birmar next door last Nov 2006
talked to the people in the Guldal, and was impressed.
They had just taken over, and were promoting the catering. It is typical Turkish, sourced from the Black Sea, and real home cooking. Had a few meals there, and it was scrumptious. A contender for the best food in town, although targeting the local population during the Winter, ( and it was full every night), they were planning to accomodate the tourists in season. The reception and restaurant were very immaculate, service -top class, I was shown the rooms, and they were small but clean with standard fittings. I was already booked up for May 2007, but intend to check it out for Aug 2007. Would definitely reccomend it for it's food and cant see anything wrong with it for a holiday.
