A recent business trip to the most expensive hotel in Entebbe was a real eye opener. They failed to collect me from the airport, despite the shuttle being pre-booked and paid for: rather they preferred to leave me stranded at 11:00pm at the arrivals area. I found a cab (eventually) that I could trust, which cost me another $10, oh... more

Great facility up front. The lobby area is accessible and comfortable and grand to look at. The elevators are glass and beautiful, showing off the atrium and glass roof over it. The rooms are nice, with high ceilings, marble accents in the bath and a separate shower and tub. There are NO balconies and the windows are far too small,... more

The hotel is located close to Lake Victoria and during May the temperature was just perfect. The Hotel staff was courteous and pleasant. The main problems were with rooms. Although the rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable the water in the shower was impossible to control It was either scolding hot or cold. Where they purchased the mixer... more

Stayed here several nights while planning excursions. Great locaion and close o Entebbe airport, and a taxi ride of about 20 mins. into Kampala. Get a local to speak to the desk clerk and negogiate a good room price. Don't pay asking price....tourism is down, and room prices are flexible. As a single woman, I found the hotel to be... more

Actually I liked the rooms. Safe, reasonable TV Sat bouquet, good beds, quiet. Considering Entebbe and the alternatives this relatively new hotel by the lake side offers all a traveller needs. Gym, pool, etc. Having said that, who ever paid 490$ for a room there? Totally exaggerated. Not worth more than 200$. Would agree that the staff is not up... more

Stay someplace- any place- else! We stayed there two nights, and both were awful experiences. Our room the first night was very luxurious, but had roaches and only one towel. It took three visits to the front desk and four phone calls to receive a towel- 6 hours after one the first request! The bathroom was designed so that you... more

I stayed at the Imperial Resort for three nights back in August 2005, when I was stranded in Entebbe due to a labor incident at Heathrow that had grounded all British Airways flights. Therefore, my stay there was a great value (tab for everything picked up by BA)! I can't say that, should I have the finances to stay in... more

If your traveling to Uganda to stay in a glass high rise hotel with poorly trained staff - then this is the hotel for you. The rooms are dingly and small. The decor is gaudy. The staff was poorly trained - from reception to bellmen to housekeeping. This hotel is not up to the standards of other hotels in the... more
