If you are visiting Buenos Aires, I highly recommend an excursion to Colonia del Sacramento and a stay at the Four Seasons in Carmelo. It's really easy to get to Colonia on the ferry, but you will have to arrange ground transportation to Carmelo which is about 40 minutes away.
