This small hotel is located near the Plaza Mayor hotel, in a quiet section of the old historic district. My friend stayed in room one which was on the main floor. It had a window to the street, that you could shutter, and beautiful white stonework behind the bed. It's not big , but a very pleasant room, for I think $40/night (might be just $30). This room did not have air or color tv.
I stayed upstairs in room 3. Room 3 has a huge window with a view of the Rio Plata, bordered by bouganveilla (brightly colored plants) and below and inner courtyard for the laundry. It has a refrigerator, air conditioning, small shower (no tub) and in the corner, a small table with 2 chairs. It also color tv. The room had nice blue Provence type theme. It had a double bed. This was $50/night.
The neighborhood is great, many nice restaurants, particularly Casa Grande and the Drugstore. The owners are delightful and speak a little English, but can dummy down their Spanish to an...
