Didn't like the attitude of the staff. I would not stay there again. I feel there is better value for money at other hotels, which I discovered when it was too late!!!!!! more

A bit symptomatic for the entire city, this hotel relies on it's great architecture but lacks in hospitality. We made the mistake to stay in one of the original Chinese rooms just above the reception. I don't know how well Michael Caine slept when they shot the Quiet American there, but I didn't get much sleep. You can hear every... more

This was our favorite. What a great experience staying in this bit of history. It has all the comforts you need plus great character and beautiful detail everywhere. The staff was incredibly helpful with everything, breakfast was very nice and the rooms were gorgeous. We stayed in one of the regular rooms, which are highly recommended. The hotel in general... more

One of the big attractions of Hoi An are the old, wooden, UNESCO-rated Chinese traders' houses. In this case, you are actually staying in one of the beautifully restored houses. You're in a great location to walk just about anywhere. We stayed in one of the "special" rooms, which faces the street - a bit noisy, but lots of atmosphere... more

Right in the centre of town, confortable clean room, oozes charm, helpful staff. Sit on the balcony eating the delicious cake you bought at the cake shop across the street and watch Hoi Go by. We were booked into a room at the front, but opted instead for a back one - I'm glad we did, as it was reasonably... more

I had the worst pickup ever to this hotel. The driver spent the half hour picking his nose, his blackheads and his ears, flicking the booty round the cab. The other hand was used to steer the cab past everything in sight. I swear we spent more time on the wrong side of the road than the right. When we... more

Having spent three weeks travelling through Vietnam and staying in accomodation ranging from budget $5/night to the most luxurious private villa costing in excess of $500/night - Vinh Hung 1 was my favourite hotel. The authentic antique furniture sets it apart from anywhere else we stayed in Vietnam, and you'd struggle to find a room of similar size and standard... more

Vinh Hung 1 now refurbished to have only 6 rooms. Ours downstairs left. Huge room, 1 King, 1 Queen bed. Dressing area with his and hers wash basins, Separate toilet/bidet/bathtub. Proper hot water. Lovely old feel (I know it's new, but has been really well done. Computer in the room (although the wireless connection occasionally went down). Lovely breakfast (included)... more

The character of this renovated Chinese shophouse hotel is the selling point for Vinh Hung 1 Hotel. The owners have 3 other hotels/resorts of varying styles close by and this one is the ideal one for those who want a firsthand view of old Hoi An - recommended for those who want to escape boring modern 3-star tourist hotel rooms... more

It was the most expensive hotel we had in Vietnam. It was worth every penny. Located in the old city, we stayed in one of the suite. Charming, exquisite service, and beautiful rooms. If you book through their website, make sure you check the promotion section. We discovered because we were staying three nights we where eligible to use other... more
