(Have already posted comments in Hoi An forum regarding condition of the hotel. See also similar comments from another TA member posted before mine) Reception staff unhelpful/disinterested. Problem with our airport pick-up 30 mins late arriving. Driver couldn't speak or understand English. Did not know way to airport had to ask tuk-tuk driver for instructions after driving around for nearly... more

We stayed 2 nights at the Cua Dai Hotel. First we stayed in one of the standard rooms (no balcony) on the 2nd floor (Room 206). The room size was average and it was clean, but a little stuffy. We then stayed in 111 or 101, which is a suite that faces the pool. The suite is alot more spacious... more

We had an excellent 2 night stay at the Cua Dai Hotel despite the frequent rain in Hoi An while we were there (apparently typical for central Vietnam this time of year). We stayed in a deluxe room on the first floor ($55 US per night) and appreciated the extra space (separate living room and bedroom). The staff was helpful... more

Hotel itself and all the rooms are lovely, great location 5 minutes walk from the central area. It had a real colonial feel, with black and white chequered floors and sofas out on the balconies where you could relax and read. Buffet breakfast takes place by the pool each morning, which is lovely. All the staff were amazing, really helpful.... more

I am sitting in the lobby of this lovely hotel waiting to leave after spending 13 fantastic nights at this very special hotel in this magical little town. We have been on our honeymoon and stayed in the poolside deluxe room. Our first days were during the most recent tropical storm, then thankfully the sun appeared in our last week... more

Location wise the hotel is good, as just a few minutes walk from the city and a short bicyle ride to the beach. Definately recommend to book the deluxe rooms, as they have a balcony and are more quiet. more

Cua Dai is around a 10 minute stroll from the centre of Hoi An. We were there just after the typhoon flooding receeded and you couldn't tell that there had been flooding at all. We had deluxe rooms for only $45 / night. They were more like 1 bedroom apartments - a generous bedroom, living room and bathroom. Great air... more
