Given the dreadful weather that the area had suffered in the previous weeks the start of our trip down to Da Nang was beset with problems. we had booked berths on the sleeper from Hanoi but the train was cancelled due to part of the line being washed away. Our arrival at Sandy Beach was a bit of a shock,... more

First impressions were bad due to an unwanted cockroach in bathroom. Overall the staff are friendly and attentive, the food is good, and the two pools excellent but shallow, The standard rooms are of reasonable size, with light furniture, what you would expect from a four star hotel but the bathroom is tiny with a shower that is practically unusable,... more

Everything here was typical of a 4 star resort. Beautiful location and surrounds. breafast great and food generally good although my husband got sick from bad chicken at dinner which did smell off at the time. All staff were a delight and more than happy to help. Biggest issue for me was the bed - it was so hard and... more

Private hotel on fabulous beach. Staff very friendly and helpful and food good. At $99 a night inc breakfast it is a great place to stay and relax for a few days or use as a base for exploring The World Heritage Ancient Town of Hoi An. Free high speed wireless internet in rooms was excellent. more

I stayed there for one night with my colleagues. We stayed in "bugalow" which is located just in front of beach. Very convenient but 35m is not very big. Good points: clean, close to beach, two swimming pool, loved foot massage. ($12 for 45 min.) To be improved: I feel that some kind of "sexiness" in the hotel is missing.... more

The resort was deserted(almost scary) we were the only ones there. The resort is impressive, lovely gardens, good facilites and clean, however shows signs of wear and tear particularly nearer the small pool and also in the rooms. This place would have been fantastic when new and for how its presented the activities should be for free like tennis and... more

Booked this resort as a place to stay before flying out of Danang to Hanoi. Phoned to book but staff unable to match or give us a better rate than on Expedia despite it being a Monday and very quiet. So we ended up booking through expedia. When we arrived the hotel had no knowledge of our booking and wanted... more

This is an unusual hotel, we arrived at 8pm and the hotel was empty. The room and sheets were damp and had a moldy smell. The hotel is tired and over priced for what it is. The beach is lovely and was totally deserted, which is where we spent most of the day. Having planned to spend a few days... more

A bit pricier and a fair way from the main centre of Danang but if you want somewhere to chill out for a couple of days this place is perfect. The breakfast buffet would have been the best we came across. Lovely staff and the karaoke rooms were nice and private. A great place to relax. more

I have stayed at the Sandy Beach 3 times and it's grown on me. The rooms are nice, and I do recommend the bungalows or villas. You're right on a nice stretch of beach, and there are 2 big (if not deep) pools. It's excellent value compared with the nearby Furama, although the quality and selection of food is somewhat... more
