Travelling with my husband and another couple, we knew before we left Australia that Da Nang wasn't the best place to stay.
We were travelling from North to South and needed a base in the middle as we had booked 2 day trips one to Hoi An and one to Hue.
We stayed at the Bamboo Harbourside, the rooms were dated and old but clean and tidy. They were bigger that most other rooms that we had stayed in.
Our fridge wasn't working but they replaced it right away.
We had some reservations about leaving our valueables at the front desk (no room safes) but they handled every thing professionally and every thing was fine when we went to leave.
We had booked breakfast at the hotel but they mainly cater for Chineese people, and there wasn't much that we'd choose however we did manage toast and coffee one day.
We found a great restaurant called Bread of Life run by mainly deaf people and served western fare. We had most of our meals there.
