We stayed in an adorable little wooden cabin with a stunning outside shower right on the banks of the Zambezi river. Absolutely exquisite. Kubu Cabins really is a piece of paradise, its in a totally unspoilt section right next to the Zambezi river. The birdlife is incredible, we saw 5 different species of beeaters, the African Finfoot, woodland owls and... More

We stayed on the campsite on the way to Livingstone from Katima. The site is off the main road down a track that must be about 3km, ensuring that there is no noise from the road. Some of the trees at the ampsite entrance were a bit low for our vehicle (3.4m high) - but a similar sized vehicle can... More

We rented a double cabin with the shared self catering facilities in June. By far the best feature of this great little place is the bathrooms which are attached to the cabins but open air. Showering under the stars in piping hot water was quite wonderful. Other great features are the proximity to the river; sundowners in camping chairs on... More

On the morning of 15th April 2012 we took off for Zambia and the Victoria Falls. Now things changed dramatically. Leaving Namibia was a breeze compared to entering Zambia. As you cross the border into Zambia you are directed to a shabby building where the only person wearing a uniform is the immigration officer. There is shambles inside. You are... More

Thanks a lot for a fantastic night under the stars at the Zambezi river. We rented 'The Villa' for a night, the place looks great. Thanks Frik!

We lucked into this place really, But waht a fabulous piece of luck. We booked two of the double cabins pretty much right on the river. All the cabins are self catering. There is a large central area for cooking and eating with all that you need to do just that. The owners will light the Barbeque when you are... More

I recently spent two nights in a wooden thatched Chalet/banda on the banks of the Zambezi at this recently renovated hideaway. The accommodation was good though the stairs to the double room were a bit daunting - managed well by my Grand daughter. The white sanded beach and clear water of the river looked inviting but monster crocs lay in waiting.... More
