Stayed here for 4 nights at the start of our African holiday. Richard met us at he airport and was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our trip, organising trips to Livingstone Island and Chobe Park and a cruise on the Zambezi. He also drove us to Victoria Falls one day and gave us lots of useful tips and interesting information.... more
Thanks for your review. Our apologies concerning the state of bed linen and the mattress. All linenand towels have since been renewed at the lodge, and we'll check the mattresses - we have not received this particular complaint before. Sorry too for the inconvenience caused by the building of the new rooms, which are now virtually complete and the garden...
We stayed for a couple of nights while seeing the Falls - Chanters lodge is clean and very well run, and feels safe and peaceful. There's a nice pool to help with the heat, and aircon in the rooms. The food in the restaurant is pretty good too. Richard has developed a lovely group of staff, who were always helpful... more

Chanters is a warm, restful oasis. The accommodations are tidy and comfortable, and the staff is kind, efficient and helpful. They made a 24-hour stay in Livingstone more than we could have hoped with advice and arrangements to get the most out of a visit Victoria Falls and its environs. I stayed at Chanters for 4 nights while doing various adventure activities around the Zambezi River & Victoria Falls. The staff were excellent, very friendly and efficient. Booking an entire holiday online can be daunting you never quite know if the description and pictures will match your experience. Well it didn’t…staying at Chanters with Richard well surpassed any expectations. It starts with the friendly face of Richard meeting you at the airport, you know straight away that you are in safe hands and this is going to be a good stay. My wife and I along with our two adult daughters and their partners had the pleasure of staying with Richard and staff in early May. The abundant advice and help Richard offers are what makes his establishment so unique. Nothing is too much trouble for him to assist with.
