We stayed here for four nights as part of an Acacia overland tour. The campsite is large and largely consists of tour groups with people of various nationalities. I didn't see the rooms, as an upgrade here was very expensive. There probably wasn't adequate showers and toilets for everyone (2 woman's blocks with 3 showers and 3 toilets in each)... more

I was camping so I didn't get to see the rooms. The service generally was pretty poor. You are no where near any shops/restaurants (taxi's needed) so rely on their food which was expensive. I also had a poor horseriding experience booked through them (supposed to be 2hrs, was 1hr 20)and it was like talking to a brick wall when... more

I was travelling as part of a small overland safari group. the day we arrived there were many overland tour companies all camping on the same site. I would guess at least 100 camping mainly European / Australian students. The ladies shower block with 3 toilets one of which was out of action the entire time. There was no hot... more

The Zambesi Waterfront hotel is a white tourists hotel filled with Australians, Americans and Europeans. There is little or no local exposure. The rooms are spaceious but not comfortable. The food is not special, not local and not expensive. Internet access is. The hotel and its neighbours run Cruise and Booze services in the late afternoon. The pool is very... more

After looking at the prices of some of the lodges and hotels close to Livingstone we decided to look a little further away on the internet. We found the Zambezi Waterfront and it looked really nice on the internet and only four kilometers away so we booked one single and a double for one night with breakfast included for only... more

Due to our Safari schedule, we spent 2 nights at the Zambezi Waterfront Lodge. We stayed in the "Executive Suite". If you are camping in Zambia and want to stop at a lodge for a night, this is a good spot for platform tents, cold beer, food and scheduling activities and internet access. If you want a comfortable room for... more

This was our first stop on a 3 week tour, the place is situated on the Zambezi River, great location. Food here was average compared to other places we stayed and service was a little slow, but the lodge is nice and sitting overlooking the river is very relaxing. The River Cruise they have is a must, beautiful animals and... more

We only had one night but that was probably too long. This place is only ok. The rooms were basic and the bathrooms old. If we were backpacking we would have been delighted as the bar was busy but this seemed to mean there weren't enough staff to take food orders. The deal breaker was that the water went off... more

I stayed here in Room 10 on the nights of 27th and 28th of June 2009, before a 14 day camping safari of Botswana. A few kms out of town, but the taxi fare is next to nothing. The room had 4 beds (luck of the draw), a bathroom that was almost as large, clean enough for me, good food,... more

I stayed at the Zambezi waterfront with many other wedding guests, for what I believe was the most amazing wedding I have ever attended. Graham, Charmaine, Auggs, Mercie, Mundia and all the staff could not have done anymore to make all of us feel at home, and went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed.... more
