Reading some of the reviews, It appears to me that there are some people who must take great pleasure in moaning about trivial things when staying at hotels and these kind of people would never be happy no matter where they stayed, but never the less, they are entitled to their opinions. I stayed at this hotel for two nights... more

The hotel really feels how a 5 star hotel should be. Staff are well trained, friendly and really make you feel welcome. Food at the Red Sea Grill is as good as you can get and at reasonable prices. Definitiely worth staying here. more

This is a fantastic hotel, I loved everything about it. Especially the Red Sea Grill and the private beach on the shore of the Red Sea. If you come to Aqaba you could do most of the sights by yourself. I wouldn't recommend the sunset cruise. The hotel travel agent organised us a car and a trip in Wadi Rum... more

My husband and I, and another couple, vacationed in Jordan for our Eid holiday break (the Muslim holiday after Ramadan). After several days spent hiking about Jerash, the King's Highway, Petra, and Wadi Rum, we were really excited for a well-deserved break at the five-star Movenpick resort in Aqaba! Sadly we did not feel as pampered as we had hoped,... more

I would like to recommend this place because of the beautiful swimming pools and resort area that lead to the Red Sea -- at half the cost of a similar hotel in Eilat -- but since I have not yet recovered from the horrendous case of bacterial dysentary that I picked up while on the hotel property, I'm afraid I... more

We arrived in Aqaba at the same time as two tour groups, booking in. There was total chaos after a half hour wait we were given our room. When we opened the door, there were people in residence. I went down to the check-in and was not my usual pleasant self. After another twenty minute wait, we were upgraded to... more

My girlfriend and I had high hopes for the Movenpick Aqaba after a decadent stay at Movenpick Dead Sea. On check in, we were pleased to find we had been upgraded to a 2 bedroom poolside apartment. Funnily enough though, we weren't that happy with it - while it was closer to the pool and beach, the level of cleanliness... more

Arrived in the evening after a horrendus stay at the Movenpick Taba so weren't sure what to expect but was hoping it would be as good as the Movenpick Pyramids in Cairo! It was better! The staff were welcoming, the rooms immaculate, room service to die for, breakfast buffet out of this world. What more can one ask for? We... more

We stayed 2 weeks in Jordan and 3 nights at Moewenpick - Aquaba. The hotel is overall very good, nice beach, comfortable, well furnished, good service and the best buffet we had during our trip. If I have one negative comment it is the smell, we had a no smoking room but as half of the floor was smoking, the... more

What a superb hotel - we travel a lot with both business and leisure and have to say this hotel is up with the very best. We stayed for 2 sets of 4 nights, both times were allocated fantastic rooms. We had booked Executive suites for both stays and the 1st set we had an appartment within the hotel which... more
