Stayed at the Westin Nagoya Castle for only one night on 19 Dec. Although it was only for one night, the hotel left a lasting impression. Firstly, the concierge's English wasn't that good. Upper class hotel, a bit out of the way from the railway station. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus between Nagoya station (bus terminal #2, ground floor) and the hotel. We stayed at the Westin Nagoya Castle in Februaury '04. It is a luxury hotel, although we booked online for a substantial discount. Built opposite the Castle, across the road from the moat, the hotel pays for the floodlighting of the castle at night, so make sure your room has a castle view (most do) - it is quite spectacular.... more
