Loved the location, the service, the food, the experience & atmosphere. Something special for every foreigner visiting Japan. I've stay in many hotels all around asia, but a japanese style is simply something different. I was traveling with my older parents and the staff tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Luxury from A to Z. You are being met at the station by a chauffeur driven limousine. The room is spacious and well equipped. You get your Japanese dresses, ready to go to the public bath on the ground floor. Dinner is sensational as is breakfast. It's a bit costly, but worth its while.

We spent 1 romantic day at the hotel and had a fairly good time. The room was rather nice, dinner and breakfast were very nice and all staff members were so kind. We could feel Japanese service style that is comfortable. Our stay was a very good experience, which we can warmly recommend.

Beautiful rooms. Great views. Excellent staff. Wonderful food! Nice onsen! This was the highlight of our trip and despite the price is an excellent value becuase it was such a memorable experience.

We stayed at the Katchoan for two nights on 13th & 14th October. My wife has an allergy to feathers so hotel (and particularly ryokan ) visits present fairly significant hurdles to hoteliers – in this area the Kachoan couldn’t have been more obliging. We ended up being booked here because our original choice, Nagase, had recently closed. This place was represented as being the next best ryokan in the city.
