Super cheap and a big room. Takayama is tiny, so you can easily cover it on foot to wherever you want to see. The staff were great. Unlike most hotels this one had huge windows you could fully open. Hana hotel stands next to a graveyard, in a dark street close to the center of Takayama. We did not like our room which we considered quite dirty. Definitely cheap for such a clean room. And we got free breakfast as well. The hotel is located several minutes walk from JR Takayama Station. Note that there is a cemetery right beside the hotel. So it might be better to ask for a room that doesn't face the cemetery.
