Good hotel atmosphere, good help from staffs, clean room, reasonable price. We will come back and stay here again! There is kitchen where you can have free coffee/tea and can also do cooking, the kitchen is well-equipped.

Our family of four stayed here for 2 nights, in a Japanese style family room. Room large and clean. Not en suite, but shared bathrooms clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good kitchen with free tea/coffee. PCs free as was DVD collection. Close to railway station and only a short walk to town centre. Takayama itself well worth a visit.

The hostel location is strategic for whom wish to enjoy the Takayama Festivals at day or night times. The walking distance to the festive and sight seeing spots. Most of all, housekeeping is very good. Staffs are helpful and English communication OK !

Four nights here, very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, three good computers and a sitting area. Even with a road window the dorm was peaceful and quiet and most important warm to combat the very cold spell. Very convenient location close to the train and bus stations. I would recommend J-Hoppers and would stay here again.

Perfectly located (5-7 min from JR train station) the hostel has very helpful staff. Our private room was large enough for 2 adults and 6-month infant sleeping between us.
