We had great time in this family ryokan in april 2013 (3 nights), it is not luxurious but it is very cozy and clean, all people are kind and helpful, excellent food, very good location close to most of all tourist place, we loved everything and do recommend. Helena and Marcos Alecrim (Rio de Janeiro – Brasil)

We stayed at the Nakayasu Ryokan for 1 night to visit the Kenroku-en Gardens of Kanazawa and we wish we would have stayed longer. This ryokan is run by a family. They seemed a little shy about dealing with English speaking guests at first, but the daughter (?) was fluent enough and provided excellent service during our stay. We opted... More

We stayed here for two nights during our 3-week trip to Japan. It was our least-favorite ryokan experience out of the three ryokan lodgings we tried. We weren't expecting to be blown away, but the ryokan was quite dated and worn. Our room was fine, but the attached bathroom was especially cramped. The back of the shower curtain was quite... More

We stayed for 3 nights at Nakayasu Ryokan. We booked the DB room with a private bathroom. Facilities were clean albeit a little dated (No fancy gadgets for the toilet! We were spolied by the other hotels). We had the Japanese breakfast which was provided every morning and a nice start to the day. The coffee (unlimited) was surprisingly good!... More

We stayed in Nakayasu Ryokan for 2 nights during our 4-week honeymoon in Japan. We arrived early afternoon and were taken straight to our Japanese-style ensuite room with tatami mats and futons. We were greeted by Masanori Tanaka (the ryokan's English-speaking liaison) who was very charming and keen to help us with whatever advice we needed. We told him that... More

We stayed in a Japanese style room with private bathroom. It was our second ryokan stay - and compared to the first we were probably a little disappointed. Not that we had any major complaints. We had everything we needed in the room, we had internet access, the room and bathroom were clean. The room was smaller than what we... More

Dear Our Guest, Thank you very much for staying with us. We are sorry if we made you uncomfortable during your breakfast time. We usually serve tea or coffee right after our guests finish the breakfast, so our staff might have paid attention on you. We are sorry about that. We are looking forward to serving you again in future.... More

My wife and me stayed at the ryokan for two nights during our honeymoon. It was our first stay at a ryokan, and we found it amazing and very romantic. The ryokan is near the center of Kanazawa, and there is a bus stop at about 200 m (circular line that reaches the main landmarks). We arrived with cold and... More

Basic Ryokan. We were a bit disappointed overall, especially given the price was quite high for the value we got. Rooms are big, but the bathrooms are tiny and dated. The futons were kind of flat, but we found extras in the cupboard so slept on two each which made it cozy. The location was great but the food was... More

Overall the stay was very good, with a nice and spacious traditional Japanese en-suite room. The room was comfortable and very quiet. It was a bit pricey but that's normal for a ryokan. I quite liked the dinner (which is served to your room), but bear in mind that I am used to Japanese food and in this case I... More

I am so glad I found this Ryokan on my journey through Japan. It is located within walking distance of the main site-seeing attractions and bus line. It is clean, comfortable and I found the staff went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. The part that stands out most to me is the fantastic... More
