My husband and I stayed at this ryokan for one night, after reading the excellent reviews. We had expected a remote and cozy ryokan, but was a little disappointed with the location. Yes it is by the sea, but there is a huge road between the ryokan and the sea!. So you get an ocean view plus a road view, and when you open the windows, it can be a little bit noisy.
Besides that, we were overall satisfied with this ryokan. The food, mainly made up of seafood, was excellent. The staff were very friendly. My husband and I both speak Japanese, so we don't know about the staff's English abilities, but the way they worked made us believe that they are very professional.
The room we stayed in had a 'rotenburo(out-door tub)' but I would not recommend this room type. The rotenburo was a small tub, manufactured with rubber-like material. The numerous
(6 onsens plus one family onsen) onsens are much better.
