This is an excellent option to stay in Kurashiki (I have stayed there a few times in the last years). Very quiet and well-maintained hotel, a few hundred meters from the JR station (just walk through the main avenue). Very good and attentive staff (they speak English too). Rooms are quite large for Japan and well equipped. Excellent breakfast, with... More

It's right next to the bikan area so a very convenient place if you want to visit bikan area. Hotel room is so so. Our tour guide said it's better than Nikko Hotel but I wonder about that. Though it is said to be the best hotel, it's actually very average. We only stay there because of the tour. If... More

Room is like Japanese "Showa" era, 70s or 80's, with very antique TV and desk set, interior, only price is up-to-date modern flavor. Staffs are mostly busy for taking care of large groups and no care about loud party. Good location at Kurashiki city center but all restaurant are unreasonable expensive. Car parking staff never remember us during our 10days... More

The location is the best - within walking distance to the walking street and the museums. The room was somewhat small and bedding needs to be changed. Bathroom was very clean. Staff was most helpful. We ate at "French" restaurant and it was not what we consider French food - actually rather awful, expensive and we experienced inattentive service. Breakfast... More

The hotel is currently working on its exterior, but the inside needs renovation. The rooms are big and clean. But they are very outdated. The blown glass chandelier is a nice touch, but a strange modern appotinment in such an old room. The carpeting is the halls appears to have been flooded at some point. The elevator has a bright... We stayed 2 nights in December. Although the exterior of the hotel was nothing to write home about the rooms were comfortable, clean and warm. Front office staff was helpful. Free use of the Business Centre where you can have access to Internet. Hotel was in an excellent location, Only 10 min. walk from the railway station and just a... More

We chose Kurashiki and the surrounding area for our "off-the-beaten path" part of our tour -- and are we glad we did. The town of Kurashiki is wonderful with great museums, a scenic canal area, and wonderful shops (all of which seem to close at 6pm or so and are closed on Monday). From Kurashiki we also day-tripped to Takahashi... More

Located 10 minutes walk from the station, this hotel is close to the touristic area of kurashiki. The room was very large, very comfortable with armchairs, quiet, non smoking, according to modern standards. In the morning they give the japan times. There were a few spots on the carpet. It is important to ask for a nice view. Staff very... More

The location of this hotel could not be better for those who wish to see the sites of Kurashiki - it's close to the train station and right around the corner from the canal. I had a comfortable and generously sized single room with a view of the Ohara Museum's lovely garden. The flower in my room was a nice... More
