Hotel comfortable, the room is very spacious! But the hotel more remote location, would go out a bit inconvenient! There is a lake behind the hotel is very beautiful. Also some hot springs hotel is very comfortable, and does not require outer Pay! ! !

This was a special experience staying by the lake with snow all around, a beautiful setting which took advantage of the natural beauty of the area. The rooms are nicely appointed, service is excellent, the spa was clean and relaxing. The food was a little disappointing and transport around isn't all that easy. Put those few issues aside and sample... More

The location of the hotel is fabulous, right on the lake (you can't actually see Mount Fuji from the gardens). We didn't pay extra for a view and that was fine - although you may as well if you can afford it! The room size (and the bed size) was huge compared to everywhere else we stayed - it was... More

The most incredible experience happened to me in my stay at Prince Hakone last December (2012): US$6K cash was stolen right out of the safety box in my hotel room. The worst thing is the hotel management has never taken any responsibility for what happened. The manager's response to my pointing out that the hotel must bear some responsibility was:... More

Big hotel, good amenities but doesn't have a traditional feel for such a great location. Just a big missed opportunity. The hotel is more of a function driven venue than a place to go for a personal holiday. If your going on businessmen for weddings then I guess it performs well. If you are going for anything else, I would... More

This is a great traditional Japanese spa hotel in a fantastic location just by the lake and with a great view of Mount Fuji (if the weather is kind and lets you see it...) we stayed recently and though the rooms were clean although the whole place reminded me of Communist East Germany in the 80's - clinical ... I stayed here last summer. The hotel was really clean and well organized. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It was late in Hakone and we cannot get neither taxi nor bus to the hotel (the night in Hakone are really silent). We call the hotel & they said they will picked us. It was quick respond and really... More

Great location and we were lucky enough to have two days of great weather complete with snow capped views of Fuji. The room and bed were very large compared to other Japanese hotels and the hotel itself was modern, interesting an unique, staff were helpful and most could speak some English. The three times daily shuttle bus to and from... More

We went there with the group from my church. The hotel has beautiful view, close to the lake. They have onsen too inside the hotel. We ate a lot at the restaurant, they have two restaurant. One is the small one. We ate breakfast and dinner there. The foods are delicious, off course most of Japanese foods are served with... More

The Prince Hakone lies in a beautiful location by lake Ashinoko. The room we had was spacious with a nice bathroom and fluffy towels. However, we rented a car for the 2 days we spent at the hotel. We decided to roam on our own instead of using the widely used public transportation. We looked at the restaurant prices and... More
