Our stay at Yokosuka was a combination business/leisure. We were not looking for plush, but cleanliness, fair pricing and accessibility were necessities. Although the rate was fair and the hotel was very near to the subway station, the two rooms our family was presented with had an overpowering, questionable smell that they tried to eliminate with a heavy deodorizer. A fresh-looking stain on the bed cover was was also noted,. We asked for a change of linens. Instead, the staff offered us an up-graded room at no charge. It was a great service resolution, however, we wondered why we weren't offered a cleaner, no-odor room initially. The hotel offers very limited restaurant service. When we chose to eat instead from their stocked "heat and eat" supply of food, we were told we must eat in our rooms and not in the restaurant since it was" reserved for the public" (we assumed paying restaurant customers, altho' no one was in there at the time.)
