Stayed in this hotel recently for a business trip. Excellent location – close to train, food, Navy base, and shopping. Rooms were big (by local standards) and spotlessly clean. Bathroom was small, but featured a wonderful washlet Toto toilet… a must-have Japan experience. Breakfast was excellent – wide variety of Japanese and international foods: all sorts of seaweed, soups, and... More

Had stayed with my wife for 2days. The service provided by Ms Mika at the front desk was good. Had a good view from the room and the location of the hotel is good as is near to the shopping centre etc. Will stay again if visit Yokosuka again.

This hotel is centrally located the rooms are extremely clean and it is right across from the diea mall there are also a variety of restaurants to choose from, will definitely stay here again. I would recommend this hotel if you are just looking to get away, relax or you have a refined taste for some great tasting Japanese food.... More

We had a weekend away from Tokyo exploring around Kamakura and Yokosuka and landed on the Mecure based on a value for money guess. Our trip didn't dissapoint. Very clean and tidy the hotel has been well maintained. The rooms are small and the bathrooms a little old feeling, but everything is very clean and the bedding was all new.... More

First I'll preface my review by stating that I'm a 6'2" Amercian and I'm used to large spaces. The Mercure in Yokosuka was clean, nicely decorated, and had excellent staff. Access to the Navy Base and to the trains was close and easy. There were plenty of restaurants nearby for access by foot, or car. The rooms in the hotel,... More

This hotel is a business class hotel but certainly the best Yokosuka has to offer. The location across from the Daiei Shopping Mall and walking distance to both the JR and Keikyu railway lines is a real plus. It is also walking distance to all three entrances to the Yokosuka Naval Base. The standard rooms are a bit larger than... More

Booked this hotel through Expedia.com to visit my husband who is stationed in Yokosuka. Booking was made for a NON-SMOKING Room but we were given a SMOKING Room. When I complained about the room and the smell I was switched to a NON-SMOKING Room but was CHARGED an additional $479.00 above what was already paid through Expedia.com. I contacted Expedia.com... The Mercure Hotel is an upscale business hotel; although the amenities are plentiful, the room are typically small as usual in Japanese business hotels. The room is fine for one person or a couple, but there is not room for other beds or sleeping arrangements. I stayed on the 14th floor and had a great view of the Bay (the... More

I made my second trip to Yokosuka recently on business. The first time I stayed at the recommended hotel, the New Yokosuka. The rooms there were really small and the hotel was a bit dated. So this trip, I decided to try a different hotel. Based on reviews from this site, and proximity to the locations I would be working/playing,... More

Just like a typical Japanese people, receptionist are very courteous, always smiling and very receptive. Rooms are very clean with necessary ammenities available inside the room such as toothbrush with packet of toothpaste, hair brush (not that I need one :)), kimono coats and two pairs of slippers! Try to get the 'bay view' room so you have beautiful view... More
